It is a growing problem In America, people especially teenagers not getting enough sleep. The average baby should have about ten to twelve hours, but they can get all the sleep they want. However, adults and especially kids do not get enough sleep. For kids it is probably due to the early school hours and tons of busy work. Old fashioned school systems due not want to change. Kids usually stay up to eleven doing hours of busy work then wake of at five or six. If schools wanted kids to learn they would allow children a good nights rest, so they are prepared. Without sleep, you can develop obesity and heart problems, die earlier develop depression and cancer, large amounts of cholesterol and even eating disorders because kids cannot get enough sleep. I am sick of hearing... oh it is the kids fault and he to distracted with electronics. When I was his age, I went to bed at eight. Crap!!! When you where his age you probably did not have two projects an English test so on. Also fellow adults deserve better. Waking at five when your work is at eight is ridiculous! Just because of the commute, and now bosses want their employees to work longer to get the job done. Causing adults less sleep. True kids need more sleep, but that gives nobody an excuse to keep honest people working late! America need more sleep period.
